Ealing Green Party is opposing plans to build a sports stadium on a much-loved wildflower meadow.
Southall Football Club has identified Warren Farm as a suitable place to build a stadium. Campaigners for Warren Farm Nature Reserve said they were, “lost for words” at the idea. “We have been in talks with Ealing Council, they are well aware of the vast amount of rare and endangered species on Warren Farm… We have over 1000 different plants including species facing London and UK wide extinction.”
Ealing Green candidate Neil Reynolds said:- “I strongly support making all of Warren Farm a nature reserve. Ealing Labour’s support for this development would lead to overdevelopment, floodlights, additional buildings and more.”
Neil Reynolds has warned residents about the consultation. “When asked about what sports provision is required, please answer ‘none’ on Warren Farm! This is a leading question.”11,000 people have signed signed a petition to make Warren Farm an official nature reserve.
