Green Party Mayoral Candidate Sian Berry has said she will end hostile environment policies in London if elected Mayor.
“Services under my remit will refuse to share data on migrants with the Home Office Immigration Enforcement”, she said.
Berry has long campaigned on the issue in the London Assembly. Sian said, “As Mayor, I will campaign to end immigration enforcement measures in other services, such as education, healthcare and the discriminatory ‘Right to Rent’ policies”.
Green Party policies on migrant rights include championing for the rights of the Windrush generation as well as demanding the halt of deportation flights from London’s airports.
“London is a proudly diverse and welcoming city for all people, and I will stand against racist policies wherever I find them,” declared Berry.
