Surge in Green Support in New Opinion Poll

The attempts by the other parties to focus on the environment has benefited the Green Party in the latest set of opinion polls. Voters remain unconvinced by the environmental rhetoric of Labour, Liberal Democrats and Conservatives during this election campaign.

Peter Cranie, Elections Co-ordinator commented:

"We are on target to achieve our goal of 100 council seats, and look set to make definite gains all over London, as well as in places like Norwich, Oxford, Sheffield, Manchester, Kirklees and Bradford. The reports we are getting from elsewhere in the country are also very good.

"Voters don’t want a cheap copy of Green policies. They want the real thing, knowing that at a council level, Greens will make a difference in their local communities."
