Further runway capacity needed in South East according to Sir Howard Davies

Responding to the provisional conclusion reached by Howard Davies, the head of the Government’s appointed Airports Commission “that we will need some net additional runway capacity in the south east of England in the coming decades, Jenny Jones said:

“Increasing runway aviation capacity and more flights is the last thing we need if we are serious about reversing the reckless growth in carbon emissions and avoiding the very worst of climate change”
