Free public toilets on Remembrance Sunday

Responding to concerns from war veterans and visitors about toilet provision in central London on Remembrance Sunday, Darren Johnson AM has tabled a formal written question to the Mayor of London this month.

The question is as follows: "Will you work with local authorities and others to ensure that public toilets in central London are free of charge on Remembrance Sunday each year?"

Darren commented: "It is not unreasonable for public toilets in London to be free of charge on Remembrance Sunday. This small initiative would make a big difference to the many war veterans and visitors who come in to the centre of London on that day each year. I hope the Mayor agrees to take this idea forward in time for the 2011 Remembrance Sunday."
