Jean Lambert, Hackney’s Green MEP will take part in the Candi-Dating event this Saturday, hosted by Hackney Unites.
It will be on Saturday, the 23rd of May, from 11am to 1pm, at The Old Fire Station, Leswin Road, N16 7NX.
The Green Party will have a stand at the event.
Jean has been a MEP for the last 10 years, and she is no. 1 on the London Green Party list for the European elections on the 4th of June.
Caroline Allen, a Hackney resident, and no. 8 on the Green Party’s list for the European elections in London, will also attend.
Taking its lead from blind-dating, Candi-Dating involves the candidate spending a few minutes with each participating member of the public who will ask them and other candidates the same five questions. No candidates reveals their party, and participants score each candidate and decide which best represented their views.
If re-elected on the 4th of June, Jean Lambert promises to ensure the EU demonstrates real political leadership on climate change. Greens will continue to push the EU to be a positive force for promoting human rights around the world, and a champion of equality and opportunity. We will also continue to lobby for the EU to become more democratic, transparent and accountable.
