Green Party assembly Member, Cllr. Darren Johnson AM, said, "I am delighted that the latest opinion polling has shown strong support for the tram. The tram will be a massive boost for West London and we want to see it go ahead as soon as possible. Greens see the West London Tram as the start of many more tram schemes across the capital, providing clean and green public transport and persuading more and more people out of their cars. However the public consultation did throw up some legitimate concerns about the loss of trees and rat-running on side streets which Transport for London do need to address."
